Job description
We are seeking a DevOps Engineer specialising Dev Tools & Automation to collaborate closely with teams in IT management, operations, and project development. The consultant will be responsible for leading upgrades and improvements of development tools and the DevOps platform, while supporting both new and ongoing projects with the implementation of DevOps methodologies. The role involves both coordinating and planning tasks as well as practical, hands-on operational duties within our platforms and systems.
Responsibilities
Working closely with colleagues in IT management, operations, and project teams, the consultant will take on tasks and responsibilities such as:
- Leading and implementing upgrades and improvements for development tools and the DevOps platform.
- Supporting both new and ongoing projects with the adoption of DevOps methodologies and creating workspaces within the DevOps platform and other relevant development tools.
- Contributing to the evaluation of GitLab.
- Setting up, configuring, and preparing new environments for future requirements.
- Participating in IT security efforts by assisting with risk and vulnerability assessments, monitoring security trends, and related activities.
- Engaging in IT changes with internal and external stakeholders, including system vendors, while supporting contract management.
- Maintaining and updating documentation such as operational guidelines, as well as routine and process descriptions.
- Handling troubleshooting, managing incidents, and following up on problem resolutions.
- Sharing expertise and training colleagues in the relevant areas.
Requirements and qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s or university degree comprising at least 120 credits/180 credits in IT, or vocational education comprising 400 vocational points in IT with a focus on DevOps, Linux, Software Development, or System Administration.
Skills and Experiences:
- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a software developer, including management or operation of self-developed applications.
- A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in configuring, operating, and managing CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps Server.
- A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in configuring, operating, and managing CI/CD tools like GitLab.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, with expertise in implementing DevOps methodologies and tools in both Linux and Windows environments.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in package management using tools like Artifactory or similar.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in automation and configuration, utilising technologies such as Ansible, Bash, PowerShell, YAML, Java, C#, or Python.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in teams utilising agile methodologies.
Additional Requirements:
- Experience in configuring, operating, and managing Artifactory and SonarQube (or equivalent functionality in GitLab) for at least 2 years.
- Experience managing applications in an OpenShift/Kubernetes environment for a minimum of 2 years.
- Hands-on experience with data warehouses based on technologies such as PostgreSQL or MS SQL Server for at least 2 years.

Other
Security Clearance & NDA: Before the start of the assignment, the consultant must review and sign the non-disclosure agreement (confidentiality agreement, etc. for consultants). Also a security clearance is required for the assignment.
Location: Sundbyberg, Stockholms Län (SE).
Remote: The consultant may be offered the opportunity to work partially from their own office. Remote work can be a maximum of 50% of the working hours, which means that the consultant should be on-site in Sundbyberg at least 2-3 days per week.
Standby group: Participation in a standby group with home readiness (24/7) every fourth to sixth week may be required in the long term. The consultant will be part of the standby team and will typically be on standby from Thursday to Thursday for one week at a time. The frequency of standby duty will depend on team size, usually occurring every sixth to eighth week.
Scope: The assignment is estimated to require full-time (100%) commitment throughout the duration of the project.
