Data Engineer

Assignment Overview

We are looking for a Data Engineer to join a team on-site in Malmö or remotely.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain data pipelines in the AWS-based Data Platform.
• Translate designs and requirements into efficient, high-performing, easily maintainable, and reusable code.
• Apply critical thinking skills to identify trends and root causes of complex problems.
• Automate processes, including CI/CD pipelines, testing, and data quality checks.
• Participate in the Solution Design process and proactively recommend solutions.
• Share responsibility with the team to ensure that solutions are developed, tested, deployed, and operated effectively, in line with DevOps practices.

Required skills:

• Experience with data technologies for data transformation in relational databases and big data environments.
• Ability to understand specific requirements or problems and apply appropriate data engineering skills and techniques.
• Experience building Datalakes, Datawarehouses, or Datamarts in AWS.
• Experience working with complex datasets, focusing on data integrity and high data quality.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred skills:

• Experience in data modelling, especially for Data Warehouses.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience working in DevOps teams.
• Familiarity with the client’s current data platform technologies (Oracle RDBMS and Informatica).
• Experience and understanding of agile frameworks, preferably SAFe.
• Background in financial or banking domains.
